I was just staying consistent and upholding tradition. 😛
Lena, or L as I affectionately call her, and I met about a year and a half ago while playing an online shooter. She stood out thanks to her colorful language and toilet humor (shocking, I know). I had gained a little fame among the tiny community for an interview I had done on the game's forum, and I asked her and her girlfriend (at the time) to join it as well. They did, and we started messaging back and forth.
I initially thought she was a guy, just because I didn't think a girl could have such a filthy mouth. 😀
After a while, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that she was female, and my perception of her forever changed. We kept messaging each other and I then learned of YuriReviews. I had started proofreading the occasional post for her and that eventually evolved into writing reviews and typesetting doujins. Throughout it all, she's been very helpful and supportive of me, and I'm extremely thankful for that.
That's just my perspective, however. Maybe her recollection of things is a little different than mine. 😛

So my ex-girlfriend introduced me to this online shooter, bur since it wasn't that popular and since I was already bored with it after playing a little, I decided to let' say “spice things up” and introduce myself as a gay guy who wants to have fun with the other members 😛
I think I played my roles better than expected and it was really hard convincing James that I'm actually a gay girl instead of a gay guy afterwards 😀

There was an acquiantance of mine who bit really hard on her persona and encouraged her to continue it. Their “cock talk” captivated the servers and entertained the masses. He wasn't gay or anything and was old enough to be her dad, so it was especially funny to see them get along so well. 😀
He wasn't sure that she was male and held out hope that he had found the golden unicorn (i.e. lesbian who loves gaming and talking about phallic things.) After a while, she must've grown tired of playing along and confessed to being a gay guy. He didn't take it very well, to say the least. 😀
I always had a feeling you were a girl, so I didn't take it too seriously. I took you at your word and believed in what you said when you told me you really were a female. Nice to see that my belief was handsomely rewarded. 😛

I see the Euroninja has acquired a shinobi apprentice among her ranks. Your work so far has been most impressive Heer Rock. The Yuri Nation's ranks continue growing and I cannot be more pleased with the progress. Slow but steady is the game we play in the hopes that someday the nation will achieve its goal of constant 100% yuri shows per season instead of once in a while.

I would've loved to have shown a couple of videos I made chronicling the discussions we had, but I unfortunately deleted those a while back. Had I done that, she would have murdered me, so I guess it all worked out for the best.
