After 10 days, we decided to close the poll and collect the feedback and opinions we got. Just like last time, we’d like to thank everyone who took the time to help us out by doing this little survey. It means a lot to us, so thank you. 🙂
This time as well, we got a lot of great feedback, some very helpful suggestions, and in general, a lot of very nice comments from basically all over the world. Some of you left us some really encouraging words, which is why I just want to thank you again. It’s simply the best feeling ever to see that you guys are enjoying what we are doing~
Now, disregarding personal information about your age or location, we were able to spot some common flaws of the blog, as well as make out what the blog is still lacking.
First of all, some changes were already made. For example, whenever you clicked on a post, the header, or basically any other link, a new window/tab would open. We got rid of that completely, so clicking on anything will simply redirect you to where you want to go.
Next, we received a lot of nice suggestions for possible headers for the blog. Unfortunately, most of them are simply not big enough to use. However, we have already found two that are perfect for us. One of which, we already implemented, more will follow:
If you want to see what other people suggested, you can find them right here.
Another thing many people suggested in the last survey, as well as in the recent one, is that the blog looks a little plain and that we should add a background picture. As you might know, I’m not a big fan of any kind of background picture that actually has more than one color, but we are trying to find something that we can actually live with. If you have any suggestions, feel free to let us know.
Now, coming to the actual content of the blog, what most people suggested are more manga reviews and especially more reviews and info on anime.
I will definitely work on the former, and Rock and I will continue to bring you more anime reviews, including my long overdue review of Octave, which is coming very soon. There’s still room for more reviews of all kinds, so if you think you can help us out as well, read our recent post on how to work with us and feel free to contact us whenever you want~
In this case, I still have a lot of great yuri doujinshi from our trip to Japan that I’d like to work on. However, it’s really a lot of work to do, even for three people. So give me some more time, and I’ll start scanning the first works and let you guys decide which one we’ll work on first.
Since spoilers are seemingly not that big of a problem, I think we’ll keep things the way they have been, meaning that if there are spoilers in a review, we will put a warning on top of the post.
I was also thinking about simply adding all the ratings at the end of the post, so people who only want to know whether a specific anime/manga/etc is worth watching/reading, then they could easily find out what we think without reading the spoilers.
Finally, I’d like to do something a little different at the end of the post.
So here are my honorable mentions:
First of all, I’d like to thank IbaraMiko. Without your help, our Visual Novel list would only be half as big as it is right now. So yes, all your spamming certainly does have great benefits for this site. Please keep up the spa-, uh, I mean, great work, and stay as awesome as you are. 😉
Next, we have Mai, a very good friend of mine who has already helped the blog in numerous ways; be it by boldly pointing out my numerous spelling mistakes in my reviews, by helping out with topics like Kantai Collection or Touhou, and most of all, by providing us with the doujin translations that are so very necessary for these releases to actually work out. So thanks a lot Mai-tan, you’re a great help, and I sure hope that I can support you as well. 🙂
Last but definitely not least, I’d also like to thank Rock The Vogt. I know that you are an official member, but your help so far has been so unbelievably great that I simply have to mention you as well. Without your help, the blog would not even be half as good as it is right now. Ever since you’ve started helping out, the quality of the content has improved by a lot. You have contributed so many great reviews, and popular posts like our recent Yuri Tournament wouldn’t even be possible without you. So again, thanks for your help, your constant support, and simply thanks for being able to keep up with your lazy blogging partner. I know it’s hard sometimes. 😛
Finally, I’d also like to thank everyone who kept supporting this blog. All of your comments, all your input, and even your critiques are highly appreciated, so please keep it up~
