We are finally winding down the kisses! its getting to be a close race now! and oh the pain! the last Kaon x Himiko kiss lost and now the epic Chimeko kiss has to go up against another?! oh the pain! T.T but like last time, not even Kaon and Himiko can match up against such a legendary kiss from a legendary yuri couple. please forgive us Kaon and Himiko… but we have to do what is best for the yuri community T.T also of note glad to see both Shizuma and Nagisa kisses are going the distance! hope both can make it to the next round too! 😀

Illlya series kiss vs Illya OVA kiss? Obviously the OVA xD That kiss was borderline H on how intimate it got. Only the current season has a kiss that maybe could contend with it.

Whyyyy is that freaking Kiss x Kiss kiss still in here?! I’m very disappointed in the yuri community that that fanservice shit made for men meant for men is still here… I guess I could say the same for Prisma Illya and possibly Strike Witches, but at least they don’t hook up with their brother or something there (actually, I never watched either, but isn’t Illya in love with her brother… damn it). Granted, I never watched Kiss x Sis, but I can’t imagine that the two sisters hook up with each other considering the nature of the show… If they do, I probably wouldn’t watch it considering the nature of the show, but, yeah, I guess that’d be a nice twist in a shitty harem anime.

Eh. I’m not a fan either but easy there. Honestly, most, if not all of the kisses here are fanservicey and made for men (the shounen vs shoujo debate is much better covered elsewhere). Kannazuki and StoPan are shounen magazine’d, as well as pretty much all the kisses up there.
And don’t worry. VDM out shounen’s Kiss/Sis,, out-lewds it, out-yuris it, and is probably going to out-everything it. Enjoy the show.

Illya being in love with her brother is treated as a joke. It slowly goes away after season 1 when Kuro appears, who does tend to crush on him instead because A) she’s a giant tease, B) she’s the same Illya as the one in FSN who is in love with him in the main continuity (way too complicated to explain if you don’t watch/read FSN and 2wei though tbh) and C) Illya is her other self keeping her anchored to their plane of existence, so she kisses her in order to invoke mana transfer (and while it is played up for fanservice, there is still genuine affection between them and its selfcest in the purest sense of the word). With Kuro’s arrival though, you can say that she starts to understand her surroundings a bit more because she starts paying more attention to Miyu and her feelings, who is openly enamored and possessive of Illya.
Strike Witches (anime-wise) is all yuri, there’s only one episode where Yoshika gets a love letter from another boy but it never goes anywhere since her commander Minna never lets men onto the base (this is because she lost her own fiance and she’s worried about her cadets falling in love and being unable to focus in battle because they’re so preoccupied with romance). The novels and doujin have Witches who have male love interests, but they’re a minority.
Kiss x Sis I haven’t watched either, but I do know that kiss is nothing but fanservice. But its probably just included “just because”. It’s not the only yuri kiss that’s fanservice on this list honestly, and some of the ones in the earlier round were from exclusively fanservicey series.

Hnn… There were some ‘debatable’ kisses on there from the start, but from the base definition (two girls locking lips = yuri kiss) they all have their right to be included.
I am guessing, that particular kiss made it this far, because the kiss itself (just itself, without particular context) is rather steamy / passionate and that’s what the deprived nation craves for. And it’s a mutual one (intentions aside).
Someone else already commented on the Illya x Kuro kisses, so I save you the comparison (in which IMO Illya wins in regards of validity, for reasons the commentator pointed out).
I personally don’t really know about the kisses it was set against, so I try not to judge on these; they may have been mutual and non-accidental and romantic and all… So, my safest bet is, that Kiss x Sis just hit the right nerve in the steamy department.
While we all surely have context and relationship in mind, we are voting for the best KISSES, not popularity of show or couple, not relationships or plot or traceability… (or if it’s even real – I am looking at you, AyaKyou! …damn, why are you not real… 😦 )
Though, for some of us, all that plays into what a good kiss is all about, it’s not such for everyone and hence this tournament and its premise has a different meaning for each of us.
With that in mind, I think it’s interesting to see, where the entire consensus will lead us and which or what kind of kiss will eventually win 🙂

…also, looking at the previous vote results, it barely won over the 50/50 mark against its competitors – which doesn’t tell us wether that means that about half of the community consciously voted for / against it or the voters were like “meh, dun care for either, I just vote the prettier picture”… 😉

Wow this round was absolutely brutal! The Candy Boy girls, one of my favourite pairings, has to go against the underwater Shizuma/Nagisa kiss? Ouch.
