Title: My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness
Artist: Nagata Kabi
Genre: Depressing, Introspective, Drama, Yuri (?)
Description:
The story starts with our protagonist finding herself naked with a lesbian prostitute. From there on, we’ll first learn how she managed to get herself into this situation, starting from when she graduated from high school about 10 years ago.
Man, that one really is depressing as fuck, and I only read the first two chapters so far. It’s a very different work from anything I have ever read, introducing the problems of the protagonist in a way that I have never experienced before. It’s quite interesting, but if something good doesn’t happen to her real quick, I might not be able to make it through.
Title: Tsubakuma!
Artist: Nakamura Kanko
Genre: Comedy, Age Gap, Yuri
Description:
Tsubame Kamoi, a former air force master sergeant, who now desires nothing more than dressing cute girls up in the clothes she designs, is having a hard time finding this new kind of job. Though, she stumbles upon a job offer that seems just perfect for her, and thus she becomes a maid for a very stubborn and unwilling little girl, Misha.
So far, so good. The story seems quite interesting, and I can’t hide the fact that I’m totally in love with Miss Buff right now~
I’m a little afraid how the yuri will turn out, though, since the age difference seems pretty big, and I’m not sure how old little Misha really is, so let’s just see about that.
Title: Legally Married Yuri Couple Book
Artist: Itou Hachi
Genre: Yuri, Romance, Animal Ears, Fantasy
Description:
There is not much you need to know about this one, since the title pretty much says it all. So what you’ll find here is simply a story about two girls marrying and falling in love~
I think you guys already know how much I love stories like this, especially those that are done by such an excellent artist such as Itou Hachi. The story is mostly really light and fluffy, with a little bit of drama mixed into it at the right times. Though, what makes it all even better is the fact that the girls have animal ears~
Title: Shinmai Shimai no Futari Gohan
Artist: Hiiragi Yutaka
Genre: Slice of Life, Comedy, Cooking, Step Sisters
Description:
A lighthearted manga where a pair of stepsisters find a common bond and come to know and like each other better through making and eating various types of meals. Each chapter features different types of food and includes recipes on how to make the meal.
Well, I don’t quite see the yuri yet, and I’m still not sure whether we’ll actually get any at all. Though, knowing that this is Hiiragi Yutaka’s work, I have high hopes that things will not end with subtext only.
Though, even if it will, the manga is quite entertaining, and it always leads to me getting something to eat, since I just can’t help getting all hungry when reading this one.
Title: Isn’t The Moon Beautiful?
Artist: Itou Hachi
Genre: Romance, Yuri, Comedy, Fantasy, Animal Ears
Description:
Let’s just say that this one is exactly like Legally Married Couple Book by the same artist that I listed up there, just with different characters.
Needless to say, this one is just as awesome as the one I already listed and easily ranks within my top favorite manga right now~
Title: Hello and Hello [Doujin]
Artist: Youkanchi
Genre: Drama, War, Yuri
Description:
This one is a Kancolle Doujin that focuses on the events after Mutsu’s sudden dismantlement after receiving major damage during a battle. After months of suffering alone, Nagato is forced to take a day off and meets a girl with an uncanny resemblance to the Mutsu she knew and loved.
After having finished the first chapter, I was left with a very unpleasant feeling, since the story itself seemed to be cut off abruptly, ending in a very unsatisfying and really unsettling way. Fortunately for all of us, there are at least 2 more works to follow, so let’s see how this one continues.
Good list. but for me I just cant get into Tsubakuma!, those muscles just killed it for me. >.< the Private Report one is pretty good though even if it depressing as fuck. still hoping you get a chance to read Gamma sometime soon! it is so good! and the author of Gamma is making a new yuri series soon! 😀

Really? Gamma was great! I second that recommendation! The yuri really picks up in the second half, I promise.
A nice list of yuri manga to choose from~ The comfy nekomimi marriage life is so pleasing to read. Thanks for sharing!

Just give in Lena! you can’t escape the inevitable! you WILL read Gamma and enjoy the intense yuri it offers! it is your destiny! >D but in all seriousness it is such a fun series with great female characters. that nearly all the female characters go full on yuri is just the best thing ever. why this series has not been made into an anime yet I will never know.

In Private Report the third chapter becomes more positive as she starts getting a grip on things. So its on the upswing, though I do wonder if the prostitute thing is going to be a disaster…but we’ll see in chapter 4 I guess.
Am liking Shinmai a lot, though as you point out the yuri is pretty low…but Ayari (the dark haired girl) does blush alot towards Sachi, so maybe things will pick up.

Just read it and it’s quite the relieve. if the story continued on like this, I wouldn’t have been able to keep following it all.
Hopefully, we’ll get to the scene from the very beginning soon 😛

Idk if you read these other series but here are a few of my other suggestions you should read. Chirality, Maka Maka, Ragnarock City, Transistor Venus.

Have you read “A Room For Two” ? It’s a Subtext manga about Roomates in a Highschool dorm. This manga is just really sweet to read, and it does subtext correctly Unlike other stories that do subtext incorrectly ( coughSound Euphoniumcough ). So yeah, I highly recommend it ^_^

I have it on my list actually. Though, I have to admit, I’m not the biggest fan of 4koma Manga.

i think the main thing with My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness is the fact that it’s autobiographical. I think it ended nicely since the ultimate outcome is she’s in a good enough position in life to actually write her story for us the readers to consume, but because of its nature a lot of bad things do pile up on the author just via the nature of her experiences. But the interactions she has with kind people who push her in the right direction are nice, and you can sort of see the path she’ll end up taking. I ended up relating to it a lot with my own personal experiences, so I think it’s that sort of manga where it resonates hardest with people who have had similar problems. I know it’s been a long time since this was posted so maybe you’ve been able to finish it by now! Thanks for your recommendations.
