Still, her fear continues to prevent her from taking that ambitious step forward—that is, until she has a chance encounter with a girl who has grand dreams of her own.

Sayaka Kamoshida, who is the one to originally get her friends to sneak with her into the warehouse, secretly steals the mysterious ‘stone of life’ that was placed inside both of these mummies. Disappointed in the outcome of not being able to find the hidden treasure, they leave the data warehouse. The theft of the ‘stones of life’ is actually the trigger to resurrect these two mummies.
One of the resurrected girls was the daughter of a former Baron, who, due to an unexpected incident, became an undead being via magic. Her name is Euphrosyne Studion. The other is Euphrosyne’s maid Alma V, who was created from a homunculus. Now, the two girls attack the members of the Occult Research Club in order to get the stolen stones back.
Can the members of the Occult Research Club survive this development? Also, why were the stones of life stolen? A bloody tragedy of the late-night student dormitory attacks….

Second season of Amanchu! is the one I’m most waiting for. I’m hyped for Citrus as well, but I loved the first season of Amanchu!, and can’t wait for the new season. I REALLY hope they would make Futaba x Hikari canon, you don’t even need yuri goggles to see that pair, but some actual confirmation would be great!

Well, it’s (hopefully) gonna be the year of yuri, so why not get our hopes up for more canon pairings too? It only seems fitting~

As hyped as I am for Detonation, I really do hope that its first part Nanoha Reflection comes out soon…
I think there’s going to be a lot of other things throughout the year to keep our eyes on as well, but even without any huge surprises there’s going to be a pretty damn good year for yuri!

Citrus deserves a yuri rating of 8-10. I just watched the first episode. It sure will be the best yuri anime of 2018. waiting for the 2nd episode. will check Tachibanakan Triangle and Amachu 2nd season too

Yeah, we’ll see about that, though since it’s a full yuri show I guess 10/10 would work too.

Watched all of citrus and I would give it a 10/10
Yuri Camp a 4/10 (good anime, but light on the Yuri)
The Ramen one a 3/10
Slow Start a 6/10
Tach Triangle a 10/10 (though the 3 min long episodes don’t do the manga justice)
and Comic Girls a 5/10 to a 6/10 so far..

I have the benefit of replying to this comment 2 years later (april 2020). Bloom was far and away the best of 2018, yuri or any other catagory. Citrus…. felt unsatisfying. Theres no doubt its a 10/10, but.. the plot o_o Bloom on the other hand, was breathtakingly beautiful visually, incredible soundtrack (with utterly amazing OP and EDs), and a plot that blew me away; and thats just the anime, not even counting how spectacularly the manga ended.
Sorry Citrus!
ps Kase-san is also excellent, I’d put it ahead of Citrus as well.

Sora Yori mo Tooi Basho is my favorite show of the season so far. It has a lot of potential, not only am i immersed in the show so far with its beautiful sceneries and simple yet charming plot. But i also think it has a lot of potential for some yuri as well.

I can see some potential in a lot of shows this season, which is nice.
Still have to check that one out though~

That drawing of Kantai Collection was made by Nakatani, right? I almost got excited because I’d totally watch an archery anime with yuri romance but then I realized (through elimination) that it’s just Kantai Collection.

Lol..I also just stumbled across one called “Slow Start” and binge-watched all 7 episodes. I definitely seems like a Yuri to me (or at least 3 of the 5 main characters fall into that profile), but I’ll let you be the judge. It’s way better than that Ramen one in my opinion (you see one episode of that and you’ve seen them all)! https://youtu.be/BI30GN2xZR8

I can’t wait for Bloom into You to come out! I’ve read the manga – loved every bit of it. So excited to see it come out in anime form. I hope that it’s as wonderful as Citrus is – glad that yuri is finally getting some really good shows now. 🙂

I wish there were more blatant yuri with less subtext and more character development and romance.

I’m a liitle surprised Mahou Shoujo Site only got 5/10. Their love was clearly proclaimed, despite the fact that the removed some of the more intimate manga elements. I would have thought it would boarder at least a 7/10. While as a horror allot of the elements in the first few episodes were hard to stomach, the yuri elements were pretty forthcoming.

I can see some reasoning for the yuri score being a little higher. Not quite a 7 or an 8, but I think a 6 (or possibly a 6.5) is reasonable.
For me, since Tsuyuno and Aya weren’t that close in the first half of the season, I didn’t go on the higher end of the rating scale, despite the confession in the second-to-last episode. 😛
I think I’m a pretty tough grader, but for this one, I don’t have many objections to raising it a tiny bit higher. 😛

It’s Kantai Collection, which was originally a free-to-play Japanese web browser game, but it’s since spawned anime, manga, light novels, and other video games~
The second season of the anime didn’t end up coming out this year, but it might next year. *crosses fingers*

There isn’t going to be a season 2. The movie was the follow-up. The artist stated as much before the movie was release. Season 2 was simply a fan base misunderstanding. What could season 2 possibly even discuss after the way the movie concluded? (which in my opinion cheapened every emotional death scene)

Considering how long it’s been with no update, I figured that was the case…
And I only watched the TV anime, so I have no idea how the movie concluded. 😛

I wonder …
Will there ever be a shoujo-ai anime that will have a bit more life denial in it …? not something like harmony</ I mean something that gives us more "pessimism", more critique against religions, against the real norm. Something that portays feminantinatalism as an ideal and use a female same-sex intercourse as contraception in a dystopian (ergo proxy-ish) world where the religions (konservatives) rule the staates (would be realistic). The main cast would be all- female and divers in colour and fight against the life-affirmin society. It would indicate some schopenhauerian/druskowitzian philosophie where the whole aspire belongs to a "moral ebbing" – that of course cannot be realized due tue the stupid pronatal norm- masses. So the girls (one with same-sex attraction) would fight with all means. Side by side with like-minded men for the "Endesende" of all lifeforms.
This would be gorgeous revolutionary.

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online – 4/10 to 4.5/10 as far as yuri is concerned. In truth, if the last episode wasn’t included the entire season would get 0/10 as far as yuri is concerned.
That being said; however, the show is awesome and definitely worth watching! It’s a great mix of emotions, including totally badass scenes, great displays of friendship and loyalty, excellent examples of comradery/ teamwork, sweet moments, hilarious dialogue, and truly intense events…even the singing in it is genuinely elegant and pleasing.
If you’re simply in it for the yuri, watch the episodes out of order like I did beginning with the last one. You’ll get your yuri fix, and though you’ll receive some major spoilers…you won’t be able to resist binging the full season.
As far as yuri elements are concerned, there is a confirmed lesbian, bisexual, and even an adorable yuri kiss (3 technically if you count cheek kisses)! The anime itself gets an A in my book.

Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san – Should receive a 2/10 at best for yuri!
The whole story is basically a lesbian stalker follows a ramen obsessed girl everywhere watching her slurp noodles. That’s it! As far as anime is concerned, I’m more impressed that someone would stretch such a basic premise into an entire dull season. Seriously, don’t waste your time after a single episode, the rest are basically repeats.

Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san – For yuri, I would rate this one a 3/10 to 4/10.
It’s clear the human girl is romantically interested in the vampire and the vampire girl surely has warm feelings to return. However, as all the characters are all preteens, the show tastefully eexpressed the love interests via simple flirting, light cuddling, and many instances of blushing. Oh and are main pair also move in together.
The show itself if cute. Nothing extraordinary. Just a basic anime to watch on a rainy day if your completely out of yuri options and are dying to ship some characters. I’d range ot between a C+ to a B-

Uchi no Maid Uzasugiru – Uhhh..I guess this classified as awkward loli yuri, which is hard for me to rate because to content is uncomfortable for my tastes. Maybe between a 3/10 to 6/10.
Allow me to explain. A ripped ex-military woman falls head over heads in love with a cute kid and decides to be her nanny. The girl on some levels enjoys the nanny in a mother figure role (as she’s lost her mother), but mainly she’s completely creeped out by the pedo’s presence. Nothing bad actually happens between the two..our creepy loli adult seems to understand her interests are disturbing and doesn’t actually do more than hugs (which knowing her intentions still made me cringe). Another adult lesbian is equally interested in the maid, but those feelings are also onesided.
Overall, not my cup of tea. As I think loli can be a bad gateway for many, I would suggest simply skipping the show and focused on watch series where the couples ages are mutual or consenting.
