First yuri news update of the year, and it’s looking great so far! Let’s start with anime-related news.
First up, let me show you something to get you all excited about the upcoming yuri anime Tachibanakan Triangle.
It’s not exactly the anime PV that we’re all waiting for, but it does give us a good idea of how this adaptation will sound and feel. Plus, I think this will be the final cast that we’ll hear in the anime version as well. Some great choices if you ask me~
After the premiere of the second season, Love Live! Sunshine!! will also get a film project. There’s no information on when it will be released or anything, but we at least already know that it won’t be a simple recap, but instead, it will be a new story with the cast that we already know and love~
Me waiting for the second season~
As was announced earlier this month, we’ll also get a second season of our favorite gambling anime, Kakegurui. I know, this one is not really that yuri, but at least for me, you could say it easily lit the flame in my shippers heart and made me ship Mary and Yumeko harder than I’d like to admit. So, please more of that in season two!
Next up, here’s a new, promising-looking yuri visual novel project called Heart of the Woods by Studio Élan.
Plot summary:
Traveling to a remote village in the woods, Maddie and Tara have low expectations. The two run a popular online show focusing on the supernatural, but thus far it’s been nothing but smoke and mirrors. When they receive an invitation to the antiquated village of Eysenfeld, they’re expecting more of the same. But it soon becomes apparent that the locals are hiding a secret. Maddie sees unnatural beasts in the forest that she’s sure are products of her imagination. Lights in the woods flicker and sparkle but disappear if she gets too close.
In time she learns that the lights come from a girl named Abigail. Well, the ghost of a girl. She was sacrificed hundreds of years ago by the villagers to appease the god of the forest. Maddie devotes her time in Eysenfeld to getting to know Abigail, and eventually promises to break the curse that binds her to the woods.
Let’s also not forget about the annual Visual Novel Licensing Survey at MangaGamer! As we know from previous years, we made some great things happen in the past, so let’s work our magic again and bring more yuri to the world!
As possible suggestions, why not name more Sono Hanabira titles? Or how about Kotonoha Amrilato?

Looking forward to the Sunshine movie.
Sunshine season 2 was a bit of a slow starter for me, but around episode six it started to grab me and I enjoyed it all the way to the end.
I really like the addition of the Saint Snow parts too, and now we have a new ship in Leah x Ruby!
Lots of great little scenes in there for all us shippers!

Oops, sorry for the long wait…. When it comes any Love Live season (and hopefully also movie), I think there will be yuri moments lurking behind every corner. It’s awesome stuff 😀

so far this year has been really great for us yuri fans with citrus being so amazing and popular!!! i really do hope more announcements show up (yagate kimi ni naru anime hopefully please!) !!! also im really excited but also a little bit skeptical about the sunshine movie since i felt that the ending for season 2 was a great way to end aqours’ story so i really do hope it is as enjoyable as the second season was and isnt crazy full of feels please. also since the movie is coming i cant wait to see my favorite ships again and the new ship of ruby x leah!

I should say I am ASSUMING that they are dubbing it. Since it is on their schedule that usually means that is the case. But we won’t now for sure till the 25th when it actually lands. Will update when I know for sure.

I’m both surprised and yet I’m not. I expected it, but also had my doubts – in short, it’s weird 😀
Buuut, spoiler alert, I’ll have to dedicate yet another full post to Citrus and it’s coming this weekend, I sure can’t stop talking about it…. 😀

Yep, it’s dubbed. And it’s actually pretty good (nice job Funimation)!
I thought I would stop after the second episode and wait for it finish to binge the rest…but the fact is I can’t wait that long so I will be watching weekly. 😀
Can’t wait for your next post! May as well just do one every 3 or four episodes? 😛

I just noticed that Netsuzou Trap finished it’s manga. I feel like the ending could have had more to it, but am satisfied. 🙂
