What? A third Yuri News Update in September?! That’s just crazy! Well, crazy, but also pretty awesome, seeing that even this week, we have A LOT to cover. So let’s get right to it.
First up, there’s only a few more weeks to go until the anime adaptation of Bloom Into You will hit us. So just in time, we’ve been blessed with another preview. Enjoy!
Next up, let’s talk about an upcoming visual novel by none other than Razzart Visual. We already know them from previous games like Starlight Vega, Love Ribbon, and Wolf Tails, but this one, Bloom, will probably be pretty damn good too.
There’s no release date yet, but at least we have some information to get ourselves interested and excited about this title.
Bloom is an erotic yuri visual novel about a hopeless romantic who meets a jaded girl that doesn’t believe in love. Will Lily adapt to this casual, no-strings-attached relationship with Eve? Or will she prove that true love isn’t dead after all?
The game features a heavy emphasis on erotic scenes, and has uncensored sexual content not intended for those under the age of 18.
The day before Lily starts her new job, she comes home to find that she also has a new neighbor moving in next door. Inspired by the good things finally happening in her life, Lily offers to help the girl, Eve, carry her belongings to her apartment and unpack.
To Lily’s surprise, she is completely swept away by Eve’s forward advances, and the two strangers wind up spending the night together in a passionate sexual encounter.
The next morning, Lily believes that on top of finding a new job, she has also found herself a girlfriend. Unfortunately, Eve sees things very differently. At the prospect of a suggested relationship with Lily, Eve coldly remarks “Romance is for suckers.”
Will Lily, a girl who clings to romantic ideals of love, be able to sort out her feelings towards Eve?
Sounds pretty damn good, huh?
If you’re interested you can find out more about the game right here.
Who’s up for another season of our favorite coffee-serving bunny girls? That’s right, we received the big news that Is The Order a Rabbit? or Gochuumon Wa Usagi Desu Ka? will not only receive an OVA in 2019, but also a 3rd season the year after, in 2020!
Awesome!
Last but not least, let’s also cover the news of publisher Seven Seas Entertainment going straight for another great yuri release, by licensing Kodama Naoko’s I Married My Best Friend to Shut My Parents Up.
A very great pick in my eyes, to be honest.
If you haven’t heard about the title already, here’s a short summary.
Morimoto, a young professional woman in Japan, is tired of fending off her parents’ questions about her being single. They want her to marry a man and settle down, and they’ll insist on nitpicking her choice of groom to death. In an unexpected move, another woman in the office—who has a crush on her—offers to be her wife in a sham marriage, which might make her parents back off. But this “fake” marriage could unearth something very real!
Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait a little longer to get your hands on it, as it is planned to be released by June 2019.
Thanks to shade for letting us know about this!
this year really is getting better and better, really cant wait for yagate kimi ni naru anime, also getting more yuri visual novels makes me smile so much, and on top of that more gochuumon wa usagi desu ga though we still have to wait a little longer for that but i know the wait will be worth it plus the love live sunshine movie will keep me busy in january so the wait isnt that agonizing! ahhh it really is great to be a yuri lover!

Always love seeing your news updates! 😀 We are so close to the release of Bloom into You I can almost taste it! Can’t wait to watch it!
That Bloom yuri visual novel looks pretty good, and a nsfw one from the people behind Starlight Vega sounds awesome! will have to pick that one up when it comes out!
Seeing Kodama Naoko’s I Married My Best Friend to Shut My Parents Up get licensed was such a pleasant surprise! I enjoyed reading it on Dynasty, now it will be time to support it when it comes out with my money! just wish we didnt have to wait until June of next year to read it T.T I want my yuri manga NOW! 😛
There was another bit of awesome and out of nowhere yuri news from last week. A very awesome nsfw yuri anthology involving yuri science/magic babies has been licensed by Seven Seas! 😀

Is the Order a Rabbit? Hype. We also need a Kiniro Mosiac S3
I would really like to see a new series from Kodama. Except less NTR.
Unless it’s yuri NTR 🙂

I’m actually all good without NTR for a loooong while 😀

I think I died. In a good way. I did good in this life and reincarnated into a better one. Or I went to heaven. Except that my only religion is yuri…
hm…
Yeah, sounds about right. Feels good to be dead. Viva yuritopia, ya know?

I really hope the Bloom Into You Anime is a success, I don’t want another case of another great Yuri Manga adaptations like Whispered Words or Sweet Blue Flowers (both Anime’s finished before the central couples romance kicked off and just before it got interesting in the Manga). At least with Citrus anime if it doesnt return at least they had the central couple get together. As long as they don’t start messing around with things and adding in their own subplots, the material in Bloom Into You is there to make a classic Yuri anime imo.

I actually believe that Bloom Into You will be something between Citrus and Sasameki Koto for example.
Less ecchi and dramatic as Citrus, but also less … afraid to actually show and deliver the yuri.

I don’t know if this is good news or not, but Sentai Filmworks now has distribution rights for Bloom?

For me I see it as good news, as long as I get to buy more yuri anime and support yuri with my wallet! 😀

I accidentally read Bloom into You because it was under another name and I loved it. I think I liked it even more than Citrus. Disappointed that I spoiled it for myself since I really wanted to watch the anime fresh, but oh well. Really excited to see it animated, it looks beautiful.

I am so excited for the Bloom Into You anime!! I really hope that we’re not met with disappointment in terms of the show actually building up the relationship and allowing the characters to show affection, but I guess we’re going to have to wait and see… I’m even more excited for I Married My Best Friend To Shut My Parents Up though. I love stories that have friends to lovers plots, so this series seems like it will be right up my alley. (plus the marrying your friend trope is always good in my eyes) One of my favorite series, Elixir, is ending soon, so it’ll be nice to be able to pick up a few new series. I highly recommend checking out Elixir if you haven’t yet. I don’t want to spoil very much about the story, but it involves a witch who created a love potion for her friend in high school, and the two meet again after graduating when they’re older and both have jobs. I’m sad to see it end, but looking forward to knowing how everything will be wrapped up.

Well this caught my eye:
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2018-10-04/funimation-the-ancient-magus-bride-anime-release-includes-prequel-ova/.137719
It’s the second paragraph that is just kind of there, not sure if it’s true or not:
“Funimation also announced plans to release the complete Citrus series on home video on January 22. “
