We thought it was about time for another Q&A, but with a little twist.
What you’ll find here will be quite a few pretty random, but also fun, questions we decided to answer. It’s not related to the blog at all, but if you wanna get to know us better (by reading weird answers to weird questions), then this is for you~ 😀
So sorry about the picture, I just found it funny for some reason 😀
This will be more of an interactive kind of post, and we’d much appreciate if you’d take the time to participate as well. As the title would suggest, this is going to be a post in which we want to get to know you, our readers, a little better.
So far, we’ve mostly just covered who we are and more information about us, but this time, we’d like to focus on you guys.
YuriReviews has developed into a blog where a lot of interaction happens. Mostly between the readers and Jamesy and I, but also among you guys, individually. It’s a really awesome thing to see conversations going on and on and people having a good time talking to each other about the genre we all came to love, but also many more things. There are so many regulars that we’ve come to know and love, and there are also so many new faces showing up every now and then. So we thought, why not create something like a little guest book?
We might have forgotten about this last year, but thanks to a certain someone, this year we’re going all out in celebrating YuriReviews’ birthday, and it’s turning 5 even! That’s a pretty big number~
So to celebrate this big day, we’ve prepared a little interview with both Rock The Vogt and I, with questions all about the blog, plus a little giveaway at the end.
We hope you enjoy it, and if you want to ask anything, feel free to do so in the comments. With that said, cheers to some more great years!
Despite the fact that this has nothing to do with yuri, I got the request to talk about this by a regular visitor of the blog and decided to just do it. Maybe some of you will find it interesting. Though, skip this one if you’re not up for personal stories. 😛
So, let’s begin.
I guess I found out that I might prefer the same gender when I was like 13 or 14. I met a girl online on a forum about the band we both liked back then and started writing emails back and forth. Funnily, she had found me thanks to a super embarrassing and badly written fanfiction I posted on the forum. (Nope, I don’t do this anymore, in case you were wondering: P)
We decided to meet after a very long time of just texting and talking online, and as it turned out, we were both interested in each other, and boom, I got my first girlfriend. Thinking back, it’s funny how this all worked out. My friends had actually always told me I’d never get a boyfriend, since I was (and still am) shy, and I’d rather stay at home than go out and meet people. In the end, I turned out to be the first to get into a relationship, and when I finally told them about it, I got a lot of mixed reactions.
Thanks a lot to OtakuOrbit for nominating YuriReviews for this award, or, well, blogger game. It’s always fun to do these, so feel free to nominate us for many more~
- Thank the person who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog
- Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you
- Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions
- List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or your blog
1. Which popular anime character do you hate?
Since quite a few of you were interested in getting to know the two of us a little better, we decided to do a little Q&A with questions we found might be interesting to you.
If you have any questions left, feel free to just post them in the comment section and we will answer them (if we feel comfortable doing so).
Since it’s been a while since we last did a “Get to know us better post”, we’d now like to take that opportunity and yet again provide you with more or less random information about ourselves. This time, we’re doing it anime-style, which means that most of the questions below are anime-related. These types of questions are not related to any type of blogger tag, but since I’d like to make it a little more interactive, I’ll pass this little game on to a few more bloggers who can then continue the game by answering the questions below, and if possible, send it to some other bloggers. [If any of you find this idea interesting, feel free to do it as well, but don’t forget to notify me, so I can read your answers as well.]
We’ll nominate: OG – Yuri Nation, Ibara Kazura, and Mai88
So what better name to come up with than simply calling it “The 15 Question Anime Blogger Game”?
Yeah, sounds super lame, I know 😛
Anyway, here we go~
