Let’s Talk About Something Different – My Coming Out Story

Despite the fact that this has nothing to do with yuri, I got the request to talk about this by a regular visitor of the blog and decided to just do it. Maybe some of you will find it interesting. Though, skip this one if you’re not up for personal stories. 😛

So, let’s begin.

I guess I found out that I might prefer the same gender when I was like 13 or 14. I met a girl online on a forum about the band we both liked back then and started writing emails back and forth. Funnily, she had found me thanks to a super embarrassing and badly written fanfiction I posted on the forum. (Nope, I don’t do this anymore, in case you were wondering: P)

We decided to meet after a very long time of just texting and talking online, and as it turned out, we were both interested in each other, and boom, I got my first girlfriend. Thinking back, it’s funny how this all worked out. My friends had actually always told me I’d never get a boyfriend, since I was (and still am) shy, and I’d rather stay at home than go out and meet people. In the end, I turned out to be the first to get into a relationship, and when I finally told them about it, I got a lot of mixed reactions.

The 15 Question Anime Blogger Game

Since it’s been a while since we last did a “Get to know us better post”, we’d now like to take that opportunity and yet again provide you with more or less random information about ourselves. This time, we’re doing it anime-style, which means that most of the questions below are anime-related. These types of questions are not related to any type of blogger tag, but since I’d like to make it a little more interactive, I’ll pass this little game on to a few more bloggers who can then continue the game by answering the questions below, and if possible, send it to some other bloggers. [If any of you find this idea interesting, feel free to do it as well, but don’t forget to notify me, so I can read your answers as well.]

We’ll nominate: OG – Yuri Nation, Ibara Kazura, and Mai88

So what better name to come up with than simply calling it “The 15 Question Anime Blogger Game”?

Yeah, sounds super lame, I know 😛

Anyway, here we go~

Let’s Talk About Yuri

We’ve already talked about how I got into yuri, but I think it’s also pretty interesting to see why I’m still so loyal to this genre.

As you may know, it all started a few years ago. Well, let’s not make it sound like I just got into the genre and let me give you some numbers instead. I’ve been a fan since about 2009, which makes it almost 7 years already. It’s a long time for me, since I used to switch between different things a lot. Especially with music, I always had a feeling as if I just couldn’t stay with the same genre for more than a few years. I guess I’m really not a teenager anymore, and my interests kind of settled, or at least that’s what I like to believe.

About me: Some random questions

yurireviews lena

Recently, I’ve been asked to do one of these questionnaires that people on Tumblr like to do so much.

I won’t have anything important to say here, so this post is only interesting to those of you who want to get to know me a bit better.

To the one who sent me the questions (sorry, you didn’t leave a name, so I’ll just call you Anon): I can’t, or rather don’t want to, answer to all of the questions you sent me, because talking about too personal stuff on the internet is not really my thing. So please don’t be angry at me for leaving out some of the questions.
