My Top 10 Yuri Works That Should Be Made Into Anime [Updated]

And it continues! This time, let’s update my list of Top 10 Yuri Manga That Should Be Made Into Anime.

There are quite a few changes I had to make from the list I posted years ago. Luckily, I even had to remove some contenders from the list, since they already got an anime adaptation. How nice~

With that said, let’s get right to it. If you want to, leave your Top 10 in the comments below.

love death yuri manga kuzushiro
10. LOVE/DEATH by Kuzushiro

Similar to Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san, which is by the same artist, I think LOVE/DEATH would make an even better short anime than the former.

Well, it wouldn’t be some random comedy mixed with yuri. This time, it would be a mix between yuri, action, and comedy; I think that’s a pretty nice combination.

Also, I really love this manga because it’s something totally different from what we usually see, and that alone already makes it awesome~

My Top 10 Favorite Yuri Characters [Updated]

Oh man, it’s been a while since I made one of these. Well, instead of posting an all-new Top 10 list, I thought about updating all my existing ones, starting with my Top 10 Favorite Yuri Characters. As it turns out, quite a few of my picks from years ago still stay in my Top 10. However, there are quite a few newcomers as well. I hope you enjoy, and if you feel like it, leave your own Top 10 in the comments~

10. Shizuma Hanazono (Strawberry Panic)

The award for the hottest lady-killer definitely goes to Shizuma. And even though I absolutely can’t stand people who play with the feelings of others, I can’t really get myself to dislike her. Also, it’s thanks to her that we got to see so many yuri kisses, or at least all these great moments in which kisses almost happened.

Yuri Anime / Manga / Visual Novel Awards 2016

2016 yuri anime manga visual novel awards

2016 had a lot to offer. Maybe not too many yuri anime, but definitely a lot of other yuri media, such as a ton of yuri visual novels and some really awesome new yuri manga.

So in old YuriReviews fashion, we would like to hand out some awards for who and what we think deserves these awards most this year:

Lena’s Best Yuri Anime: Shuumatsu no Izetta
shuumatsu no izetta

Well, other than the Valkyrie Drive Specials we can’t really say 2016 offered any other pure yuri show, so I guess we have to work with what we got and make the best of it, right? So, since I didn’t want to go with “only” some specials from a show that aired last year, I decided to go with the show that came closest to what I think is really yuri, which is Izetta: The Last Witch. Despite the fact that she show doesn’t label itself as yuri, nor do the two main characters ever really declare their love, I still feel like it’s pretty obvious that they actually do love each other—romantically, that is. And if they are not yet in a relationship with each other, then I’m freaking sure they will be at some point, since their chemistry was simply over the top amazing, just like the show itself~
