It’s the final Yuri News Update of the year (and decade), so, unsurprisingly, most of this month’s stories involve some of what will be taking up our time in 2020. So for the last time in 2019, let’s do this.

My Top 10 Favorite Yuri Artists [Updated]
I guess we should continue the trend and keep updating all the old lists. Let’s continue with my favorite artists then. Enjoy!
10. Mushiyaki (Kanbayashi Makoto)
I know there are a lot of great artists around when it comes to Love Live doujinshi. Actually, thinking about it now, the number seems insane.
Anyway, the one name that pops up in my mind almost immediately when I think about those works, and especially while thinking about one of my all-time favorite couples—namely Nozomi x Eri—is Mushiyaki.
Be it the fact that those works are always cute, funny, and visually stunning, or maybe it’s the fact that I think this artist captures the relationship between the characters just perfectly. Well, certainly the occasional NSFW content helps me enjoy this to a certain degree too. 😛
Yuri Manhwa Review: Lily Love 2 ~Frosty Jewel~

Since I felt like I needed more Ratana Satis in my life and seeing that Pulse is still is one of my all-time favorites, I decided to finally give Lily Love 2 ~Frosty Jewel~ a chance.
Despite the name, I was first surprised to see characters from the first Lily Love make a return, but what surprised me even more was the character choices they went with. Of course, you could say that Ploy and Ice were the obvious candidates, since they had some… let’s call it “special moments” in the first Lily Love. Still, to me, it felt like a rather big surprise, especially since Ploy probably wasn’t a fan favorite, due to her actions in the first manhwa series.
Lily Love 2 now focuses on how Ploy—daughter of a famous businessman who owns a prestigious hotel chain—manages in her new position as a higher-up in said hotel chain, and Ice, as the poor, little intern who has to work as basically a slave, or in other words, Ploy’s assistant.

Let’s keep it simple. This is a story about a player finding true love:
Mel, a renowned heart surgeon who’s not only known for her skills to fix hearts, but mostly for her skill to break them, has been living a carefree life up until the point the story starts out. She’s pretty popular in the hospital she’s working at, especially with her female colleagues, and proves her reputation as a player to be true whenever she feels like it.
However, things are about to change when someone new steps into her life. Someone she didn’t even regard as a possible love interest, but simply a little girl with a big mouth. To her distress, this girl, Lynn, seems to take a liking to her, invading her personal bubble more and more as time goes on.
Our Wishes for 2018
After having talked about the highlights as well as all the things that were already announced that we can look forward to in 2018, why not talk about our wishes for this year as well?
So far, we can definitely not complain about the amount of things we already know will hit us this year. However, as greedy as it might sound, there’s always more things the community might want, so today, let’s focus on all the things that might or might not follow or happen as 2018 drags along.
First up, as the Citrus anime is basically right around the corner, especially after the disappointment of last year’s anime adaptation of Netsuzou TRap, what we need right now is a yuri anime that does its job right. One that might finally attract more viewers, actually sells a decent amount of copies, and simply gains enough attention, in a positive way, if I might add.

I just started reading this one recently, and oh my god, do I love it. I guess I started loving age gap stories, and I am a sucker for full-color works, though, what I love most about this is the couple itself; Tough seductress, Mel and cutie with a tragic past, Lynn. It’s just the best! Seeing them interact, with Lynn just barging into Mel’s personal bubble with everything she does and Mel failing to do anything about it, but still trying to keep her cool… it’s fantastic! Go read it!
