Which Anime Should We Review Next?

yuri anime

Coming on the heels of our latest YuriReviews survey, we thought it would kind of be a cool idea for you guys to determine which anime we’ll be reviewing next here on YR. The ten choices listed in the poll at the bottom of the post include some classic series as well as some newer ones, but I think they’d all make for interesting reviews.

We’ve listed some quick info on the nominees, as well as some questionable reasons why they should or shouldn’t be chosen. 😛

If what you’d prefer to read about isn’t listed, feel free to name your choice in the comments section~

ange vierge
Anime: Ange Vierge
Year: 2016
Length: 12 Episodes
Genre: Adventure, Fantasy, Magic, School

Why it should be next: It’s the most recent anime on this list. Who needs iconic series when you can have shiny and fancy animation from yesteryear?

Yuri Anime 2014 [Completed]

Since my Yuri Anime List of 2013 kind of sucks, I decided to make a better one for 2014. Right now, I can of course only list the few shows with yuri or at least yuri subtext that are either airing right now or that are announced to air sometime this year. So this list will be updated whenever I see a new yuri show or hear about one from other people.

Still, since it’s just impossible for me to watch each and every anime that is airing, I’d also appreciate if you’d just tell me whenever you feel like something in my list is missing. Finally, I’d like to tell you that I’ll add a “Yuri Rating” to each and every show I’ll list. This will be my personal impression of how much yuri the show has to offer, so if I still haven’t watched the show that is listed, I’ll add this rating a little later. If you suggest a show, it is always appreciated if you could give the yuri rating a score from 1-10.

With that said, let’s move on to the list, and even if it’s just the beginning of 2014, it’s already quite huge~

Anime Winter Season 2014: First Impressions

This is the first time for me to pick up that many shows in a new season. I’m usually someone who finds and starts watching specific anime when they are already done airing.

So for me, this season is pretty special.
I’ve picked up about 10 shows and after watching the first few episodes of each of them, I already know that I’m keeping a lot of them.
I think it’s not only thanks to Sakura Trick that I love this anime season, even if we disregard this show, there are still a lot of other great and promising ones out there.
So let’s start with the first one I picked up.
And what show might this be?

Of course it’s Sakura Trick.
I’ve made a whole blog entry dedicated to my first impression of this specific anime already, so click here if you wanna read it.
After episode 3 I’m still pretty happy with how things are going.
The anime very much sticks to the manga version, which is a very good thing.
Still, since there are only 6 chapters of the manga translated yet, I can’t really predict how this anime is going to continue. Is it going to stay the cute and ecchi “girls doing cute and random stuff” show or is it going to develop an actual plot with a real conflict?
I can’t really see the latter happening, but it’s still possible, isn’t it? I think I wouldn’t mind either way as long as the amount of sweet kisses won’t decrease~
