We’re another week closer to the end of the decade, but until that time comes, here are some more songs that have been in our weekly music rotation.
JUST SO YOU KNOW, THIS STEINS;GATE AMV HAS SPOILERS. Now that that’s out of the way, I always find myself coming back to a handful of AMVs, including this one. It’s so well done, and the song from Florence + the Machine just takes it to a whole ‘nother level. This is one of my favorite anime of all-time, favorite AMVs of all-time, and while the song’s not one of my favorites, it’s still great.
I heard this GOT7 song once earlier this year, but I didn’t think too much of it until I heard it again in this LOONA dance cover. It’s a lot better than I remember, but a big reason why I like the song is thanks to the dancing in this video, which is obviously awesome. I wasn’t that into LOONA before, but I gotta check them out more. And thanks to this video, I now have a bias in this group, Heejin~
We featured a Hozier song way back on the second installment of this series in June, and here he is again five-and-a-half months later. This is another song from him that sounds like it could be sacred, and to make matters better, the song/video has an important message behind it.
I don’t know who the evil genius was who created this ungodly mash-up, but whoever it was, I need to shake their hand, because this is so stupid yet brilliant. I’m not into baking, but if I was, this is the song that I would make sure to play each and every time I baked something.
And that dance cover video reminded of this song that I like. It’s from Odd Eye Circle, one of the three sub-units that this group has to offer, and even though I probably couldn’t tell any of the twelve girls in LOONA apart to save my life, Odd Eye Circle instantly became my fav sub-unit thanks to this song. BTW, stan LOONA. 😛
It probably shouldn’t come as a huge surprise that Lena is currently obsessed with Pokémon Sword. I can’t say that I join her in that sentiment, but what I can say is that this song from the game is pretty nice. She especially likes the group chants in the second half of the song, and I totally agree that they’re a nice touch to an already slick song.
If ever there was a match made in musical heaven, it seems to me that Taeyeon and Disney is that match. She was chosen to sing the Korean version of this song, and there probably isn’t another Korean singer better suited for this than her. Is my inner fanboy showing too much? Sorry about that… 😀
