What We’re Listening to This Week (July 1st, 2019 Edition)

Yup, more music. So let’s have less talking and more singing or dancing or whatever it is that you do while listening to music. 😛

Silence may be a very different song than Clouds, which may be one of the saddest and most sentimental songs I’ve heard, but there’s something about this Before You Exit song that just instantly drew me in. To me, these are their two best songs, and this one is currently getting plenty of playtime.

This is the first song from this group that I’ve heard, but I’m liking it. Are You There definitely gives me some Day6 vibes, and considering how much I like Day6, that’s a little exciting, so I’m looking forward to checking out more songs from I’ll in the near future.

Glades is a group I haven’t kept up with that much since I first stumbled upon them, so this song was a pleasant surprise to me. It’s one of those nostalgic love songs that I like, and although it may sound a bit boring to some (I agree a tiny bit), these songs have their place in my music catalog~

Since only one of us actually likes German music (hint: it’s not the German one :P), it seems like there’s always more to discover. She was on the list two weeks ago, but a deeper dive into Madeline Juno’s back catalog has unearthed this gem, which has an amusing music video with a Barbie and Ken look-a-like… but it was recently made private. Feelsbadman.

This artist actually had a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to record at Capitol Records in LA, so it’s safe to say that she’s relatively unknown. That’s kind of cool, and I think this song is pretty nice and soothing.

I feel like there are some Kpop artists/groups that get a lot of hype that they don’t deserve *cough* BTS *cough*, and then there are ones like KARD, which deserve much more attention. If this post gets a million likes, we’ll record ourselves doing this choreography, twerking and all~ 😛

Like some of the other songs on this week’s list, this is another song that’s pretty chill. Guess that’s the mood this week, and this one fits the bill quite nicely. Also, it’s just fun to say this guy’s name, Mr FijiWiji. Go ahead, say it. 😛

In case you missed them, here are previous week’s choices~
