What We’re Listening to This Week (October 7th, 2019 Edition)

October is finally here! Let’s celebrate by listening to this latest group of songs that have nothing to do with the season! 😛

You’d expect Lena to pick a Japanese song, right? Well, even though the song is sung in Japanese, the artist is Korean. Aiobahn may be a Korean producer, but his music doesn’t seem all that different from the music that L has traditionally liked, so maybe it shouldn’t be that much of a surprise. Anyway, this Guy Arthur remix is pretty sweet either way, but I prefer the one coming up next… 😛

And here it is. This Stephen Walking remix is more my style, but the two are solid either way. We’ve had two songs from the same artist make it on this list in a single week, but this is the first time we’ve had two different versions of the same song make it on the list. That’s quite an accomplishment.

Boy in Space has already been featured on this series once before, and here he is again with another gloomy track. Unlike Lena, I really like songs like these that are more emotionally vulnerable, and like before, this song caught my attention more than other types of songs from Boy in Space.

Just like Boy in Space, Carlie Hanson once again makes another appearance on this list. This song has kept a steady rotation in my playlists, so I’m surprised I didn’t already include it. Anyway, how adorable is her dancing in this video? You can tell she probably doesn’t do it much, and that makes it even more cute.

I first heard this song probably a two or three months ago, but it didn’t really stick with me back then. It wasn’t until I recently heard another one of Madeline Juno’s songs that I finally realized how much I like this. I guess it’s better late than never, but this song finally made it on the list~

No Korean songs this week? What is this madness?! It’s probably been two or three years since I last heard a Tove Lo song that I really liked, so I wasn’t exactly expecting to like this one when it first started playing, and I guess I was wrong. 😛

We liked Granbelm a lot, so here’s another song from the soundtrack. This was the ED that was featured at the end of episode seven, and just like the normal ED as well as the OP, it’s pretty awesome. Take a listen for yourself to find out why.
