What We’re Listening to This Week (September 30th, 2019 Edition)

Last day of September, so let’s make it count wth some more good songs~

Granbelm has been a pretty awesome anime this season, and part of the reason is because the music in the series is so good. It even applied to the OP, which comes to us from Eir Aoi, someone who’ll always have a special place in my heart thanks to her work in Kill la Kill. *listens to it once again*

I’m not the biggest fan of BTS. Yeah, they have some good songs, but do they really deserve all of the attention and hype that they receive? I definitely don’t think so. Anyway, I stumbled upon this English cover on Spotify, and even though I haven’t heard the original version, I can’t imagine I’d like it as much as this version from Chymes.

I don’t really consider myself a huge fan of GOT7 (even though I really liked Look), so I wasn’t expecting too much from this song from Jackson, but it’s actually pretty good. I knew he knew English, but an entire song in English? That’s pretty surprising to me.

When I first heard this, I could’ve sworn it was from Shura. It sounds just like her. But nope. Not Shura at all. Either way, I’m really enjoying those Shura vibes this song gives off. This is another artist I’d never heard of before, but after this, I’m going to have to check out more of her songs now.

Twice just came out with a new song, so it’s not much of a surprise to see them on this list once again. Like pretty much all of their other songs, this is a cheerful bop that Lena enjoys, and I’m in the same boat. But I think the best thing about this video has to be Sana~

And now, another song from Granbelm. This time, it’s the ED which is from Uru. I’ll be honest, I’d never heard of her before this song, but that was a huge mistake, because she’s really good! It’s a very different type of song than what you’ll find in the OP, but I still like it anyway~

Admittedly, I chose this one more for the video than the song. I kinda like the song, but do you know who the best girl in Mamamoo is? That’d be Wheein. The Mamamoo girls are better known for their strong vocals, but Wheein shows that she’s got some moves as well. I liked when she released Easy, but I like this every bit as much, even though it’s not her song~
